> Respecting Copyrights
I will refuse work that involves plagiarism and the use of other people’s intellectual property and creations without their express permission (i.e., theft) and will perform my due diligence to ensure that any client work produced is not borne of such practices, whether willfully, accidentally or out of ignorance. I will do my best to make sure that neither you nor I can get sued by a creator for stealing their work.
There are plenty of copyright-free and even royalty-free assets out there to use:
> Communicating Assets
Occasionally deliverables will be transmitted via WeTransfer
, a cloud-based service for transferring large files over the internet, bypassing email attachment size limits. Files are uploaded to and hosted on WeTransfer’s servers, which hosts them for a maximum of 3 days, providing recipients with a download link. After 3 days, the files are deleted from their network (but can be re-uploaded again).
> Rush Jobs
If accepted, expedited projects will incur a Rush Fee. As a minimum, Rush Fee amounts are 20% of the invoiced cost but may vary based on the complexity of the task requested, the timeliness of the delivery needed and the current workload the request is being prioritized against. Do note that not all projects may have the option to be expedited.
> Accepted Forms of Payment
Digital payments can be made via Venmo
, PayPal
, as well as Zelle
(details available upon request). Physical payments are only accepted in-person from local clients.
Exposure is not a valid form of compensation (sorry/not sorry).
> Late Payments
Payment is due within 30 days after an invoice is issued. A late fee of an additional 10% of the amount owed will be incurred per 30-day period thereafter. This late fee detail appears on every invoice and is described in full in the Independent Contractor Agreement. If multiple projects from the Client are engaged and there exists an unpaid invoice in excess of 30 days, no further work on current projects will continue and no new work assignments will be accepted. Work will resume only after outstanding invoices are brought current.
