Don’t just take my word for it.
There are people out in the world who have said nice things about me, the work I’ve done as well as what the experience working with me is like. These are some of their words down below. Neither blackmail nor bribery were involved. Scout’s honor.
Miller isn’t just a talented designer who can pivot the tone of his assets effortlessly based on feedback throughout the design process. He is also a thoughtful and collaborative steward of design. He ensures that elements are unified, and make sense in all of the contexts in which they may be presented. I’ve watched his standardization of assets and creation and distribution of design guides make it easy for members of other teams to iterate faster and reach for the correct tool in a given context. His thoughtful inclusion of relevant stakeholders improves the design process by getting the right folks involved early, but he’s also adept at leaning on his expertise to shape design in optimal ways, even when some stakeholders might start with different ideas. His strong but collaborative voice amplifies the velocity of teams.
Working with Miller was one of the most productive periods of my time at One Door. As the front-end engineering lead, I worked directly with him in the role of UX lead. Together we put together a design system and style guide as well as complex interfaces for a retail SAAS application. Miller was a pleasure to work with. He was always quick to respond and was full of amazing ideas and designs for our team to build. He is passionate about good UX and was a pleasure to work with.
Miller is never useless. Miller can design a single graphic, a whole page, a whole site, a whole dinner spanning multiple ethnicities, a brand new table top game, or turn a phrase RIGHT when you need it most.
On top of his unshakable attention to detail and excellent taste in colors and flavors he’s a great joy to hang around with. He has a wonderful work ethic. And frankly I miss working with him.
Miller was responsible for everything related to website and graphics at Net Atlantic. And he brought the entire concept of graphic design and development to a new level. His talents went well beyond anyone I’d worked with before. Miller’s strength is in ideas, with a heightened level of care for the end user’s experience. He has a brilliance for thinking ahead to the way a page or document will appear to a viewer, and how they will react with it.
Everything we touch and look at is really an interface, whether it’s a website or mobile application, a magazine cover, a billboard, or the logo on a pizza box. It takes understanding to make it work, experience to make it real, and true creativity to make it new. Miller brings all of that to every design.
Miller’s talent, skill-set and eagerness to learn make him an invaluable asset to any team he is a part of. He offers creative, insightful input to any project he is working on. Miller is always willing to give 100% – and goes above and beyond whenever necessary. He has a can-do, will-do attitude which exceeds so many people I’ve worked with in my career; it is truly a pleasure to not only be his manager, but his teammate!
Miller’s value at Net Atlantic extends way beyond the Marketing department. All of my teams – Development, Customer Support and Professional Services – benefit greatly from his expertise. With significant experience on the front end of web and email design and more than a working knowledge of the back-end, Miller is effectively the “translator” not only between many internal departments, but to our clients as well. Outstanding teamwork, superior communication, and exceptional talent and skill are only a few of his attributes for which my teams and I are appreciative.
