DESCRIPTION
When playing tabletop roleplaying games, there is a lot of information to keep track of. Gameplay rules are incredibly comprehensive and, unless you know them off the top of your head, stopping the game to thumb through sourcebooks is less than ideal as it is incredibly disruptive for a narrative-first gaming experience. To say nothing about keeping your own character details straight. It’s a frustrating amount of information to keep track of.
Because of these pain points, I created the following player aids:
Cheat Sheets
Double-sided reference guides with rules summaries and lookup tables for specific RPG systems: Icons – Assembled Edition Super Roleplaying System, Mutants and Masterminds, 3rd Edition and Shadowrun, 5th Edition.
Spell Cards
Rather than having to dig out the Dungeons & Dragons, 4th Edition Player’s Handbook to recall specific details when it came to certain spells, these cards were put into the play area when such spells were cast to allow for immediate access to their descriptions by all players.
Buff Assignments
Another visual aid/minder for Dungeons & Dragons, these cards were given to specific players when a “buff”, a beneficial effect, was cast on their characters.
Illustrations and layouts created using Adobe Illustrator.
