SKETCHBOOK CONSPIRACY

DESCRIPTION
The Sketchbook Conspiracy started off as a simple collaborative, online creative work (a “comic jam”) designed as a personal side project. It eventually became a collection of multiple comic jams that included Sketchtember as well as Artober.

Whatever the name the comic jam of the time was called, the effort involved coordinating participants (writers, artists and writer-artists) from various parts of the country (and, for a couple of the other comic jams, various parts of the world) and getting them to work together remotely to compose an online comic book in sequence. Much like other exquisite corpse creative writing endeavors, both the overall narrative as well as the composition of each page occurred one page at a time. A website was put together in support of this effort and in order to have the work be put up for display on the Internet. Sketchtember actually got its own logo made, along with branded 1″ buttons for its various participants all over the world.
